Get to Know Tonya

Hello, My name is Tonya, and my husband Jeff and I usually lead leading God, Sex and Your Marriage. This season I am excited to lead Finding the Hero in Your Husband! Because of walking through our own journey of healing in our marriage we have been challenged to keep pursuing God’s best for us. This includes pursuing God and each other in this unique covenant relationship. We have had so much help along this journey and we are still learning! One way keep learning is by leading online book studies. We have led God, Sex and Your Marriage for 3 seasons and it continues to amaze us that the people we encounter in these groups along with the materials we study, brings us a clearer picture of God’s redemptive love at work in the most intimate area of our lives. We have been married for 17 years and have a blended family of 5 boys. When we aren’t leading OBS, you might find us hosting friends, cooking, woodworking (Jeff), or playing video games, cards or board games together.

Tonya was engaged, caring and authentic! She created a welcoming, safe space for individuals to share and process tender areas together. She has such a big heart for Jesus and for seeing His Bride healed and whole. Love her! Thanks for your ministry to my heart!

Tonya was very respectable in listening to each one and getting to know everyone. She is authentic, vulnerable and wise. She is good at leading the conversation, but also stepping back and allowing the conversations to mature. She is very affirming and sensitive about how she answered questions too.

Everything in this book was filled with golden nuggets applicable in my marriage. The last chapter really hit home, about looking from the rear view mirror, being intentional, faithful, and running this race with endurance. I also loved: the fellowship, diving deeper into book by discussion during each group, and seeing other people’s perceptions and stories.

This was a great book study. I loved sharing with other ladies, which created great accountability to the other women to read and apply the principles. The community was like-minded and everyone was interested in allowing God to work in their hearts for His purposes. Also, having intergenerational discussions was such a blessing.
